This tire profile combines notched shoulder ribs, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to blend powerful braking with predictable handling. There is a wide circumferential and Y-shape lateral groove pattern to direct water out of the tire's footprint to resist hydro-planing.

The tire also has an internal casing construction of dual twin steel belts that are reinforced by two-ply high-density, spirally wrapped jointless nylon. Additionally, a two-layer rayon casing is on the inside of the durable sidewall between the body cord plies to help resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering.
